I come from a crazy beautiful family, which consists of 7 amazing siblings and one incredible mother.
We were given the ultimate choice by our mother at a young age - to either settle and live in one town throughout our schooling career or to have an adventure. We chose what any Disney loving children would do... we chose to have an adventure of course!

Being born and raised in South Africa meant there was no shortage of adventure or drama ( which mom always turned into adventure anyway).

We were blessed with a childhood of living in some of the most stunning locations around South Africa, from farms to seaside towns and even a spaceship (seriously).

Spending most weekends building sandcastles and eating sand covered ice creams on the beach meant that it was only a matter of time before I found surfing or rather that surfing found me.

Having the unconditional love and support from my mother in all my chosen sporting fields, she surprised me with a surfboard for my 13th birthday and as they say...the rest is history.

From the moment I stood up on my very first
wave I didn't want to do anything other than surf.
Soon after I started surfing I decided to hang up my running shoes, along with my Olympic dreams and ‘retire’ from a successful national long distance running career, in order to focus and dedicate my time to my passion of surfing.

My mother then surprised us with one final move to Jeffreys Bay in South Africa, one of the best
right hand point breaks in the world.
I started competing in local and national competitions around South Africa, as well as representing my province at the South African Surfing Championships in both sporting disciplines (surfing and running) respectively.

Due to safety reasons, we relocated to the UK in 2008 and I was given the opportunity to study to an internationally accredited level in the health and fitness industry.
This allowed me to combine my two passions of surf and fitness, to help promote the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle.
I wanted to share my positive experiences through sport with others, while helping them to build their confidence and empower their lives through sport and exercise.

After years of hard work and breaking into the celebrity fitness industry, I launched Ohana® Surf & Fitness with the help and support of my incredible family!

This has allowed me the opportunity to be a part of so many peoples surf and fitness journeys from all over the world, which in turn has taught me so much about myself. Being able to work alongside my family in business has to be one of the most incredible blessings...there really is no team like your family.
Ohana® is more than a business, it is a lifestyle that is changing so many peoples lives and I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love.
We specialize in everything from personal training to celebrity fitness, surf coaching, lifestyle management, retreats, active holiday packages, corporate events, bootcamps and more. Being able to work alongside my family

Fast forward a few years and you will find me
between Cornwall, Fuerteventura and Canada.
Surfing and sport have opened up a world of opportunities that have changed the course of my life.
I have had the opportunities to work with and endorse international
brands, while being able to achieve my own sporting goals.

My number one goal is to give back and help others achieve their full potential in life. I truly believe that with hard work you are able to achieve anything you set your mind to - this is something my mother has told (and showed) me from a young age.

I am where I am because of the grace of God, my amazing family and the people that have blessed my life with incredible opportunities.

I am so grateful to be able to have the support from international campaigns on so many of my ventures, where I am able to give back to others who have not had the support that I have had.

The beauty of doing what you love is that you are always striving to be the best person you can be, not for yourself but to be able to help others.
This is what motivates me on a daily basis.
Everyone has greatness in them, no matter what field that may be in. The secret to unlocking that greatness lies within each and every one of us and sometimes all it takes is someone to believe in us.

Where can you find me?

I am constantly working on new projects and charity events with my family, going on as many adventures as possible, surfing, blogging, designing signature ranges, training clients in both surf and fitness, hosting retreats and fitness events, trying to cook like my mom, presenting, being completely unprofessional on photo shoots (uncontrollable laughter), singing really loud in my car, making crazy plans with my family, drinking coffee, speaking at motivational events and trying to live this beautiful gift of life to the absolute fullest.
